Hope Group Testimony {Amanda’s Experience}

When I found out I was pregnant with Harrison in November 2016, I was ecstatic. I wanted nothing more than to be a mommy. The instant I found out, I started envisioning what our sweet baby would be like, who they would look like, what their personality would be like. I couldn’t wait to find out if we were having a boy or girl so I could start planning the nursery, the place I’d get to bring our baby home to. But that’s not what happened. Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017. Harrison’s Birthday. I had envisioned that weekend to be completely different. My first Mother’s Day. A day to celebrate that I was now a momma. Instead, we ...

Hope Group Testimony {Stephanie’s Experience}

Everything happens in God’s time. Everything happens for a reason. These are two phrases I could not stand to hear shortly after I lost Isaiah on June 6 2015. I found out about Hope Mommies when a friend of mine and I went searching for support groups or walks we could do in honor of our babies. I attended the 1st Annual Hope Mommies 5k in Dallas in October 2015 with my friend and three other women I saw who were attending the walk alone. I learned about Hope Groups that day as well when I joined the Hope Mommies Facebook page.  I have gone through the “Anchored” and “I Am” studies so far and will be registering for the “Identity...

Hope Group Testimony {Andi’s Experience}

Our fourth miscarriage happened while I was in my first Hope Group with Hope Mommies—a group my husband signed me up for. This group of ladies loved on me and prayed over me. Many tears were shared, and I had found a community that understood me. They understood my hurt and frustration. They understood what this process has both given to me and robbed from me. Loss can put you in a very lonely and isolating place. My Hope Group helped fill my heart with love and healing. It was a place that I could be heard. Even at times when it was challenging to put my thoughts and feelings into words, they got it! I recommend joining a group, it is a ...

Hope Group Testimony {Shannon’s Experience}

In March 2016, I joined “the club” that nobody wants to be a part of. I lost my son, Eli Joshua, shortly after he was born due to a genetic condition. I was broken. But this “club” is full of the bravest, fiercest love that you can imagine. The Hope Mommies community helped anchor me to Hope during the darkest times—providing a place to grieve in an honest and faith-filled way. In January 2017, I got an “elite” club membership, after saying goodbye to my second son, Joey Daniel, shortly after his birth...due to the same genetic condition. To say I was shattered would be an understatement. I was so angry, disappointed, and ...

Testimony Tuesday {Hope Groups: Leading}

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child, I was so excited! I had so many expectations of what the pregnancy, labor, and eventually caring for Auddie would be like. The beginning of my pregnancy was difficult and there were times we thought we were going to lose her early on. So, from the start of her life we prayed, “God, she is Yours. May her life glorify You.” We had so many plans for what we thought she would do in her life to glorify God. We were in total shock that after a mostly healthy, full-term pregnancy, 24 normal hours of labor, and two pushes left her heartbeat was gone. After 25 minutes of trying to resuscitate her, ...
