Hope Group Testimonies

Hope Groups are a group of women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss (up to two years of age) at any point in their life. It’s a collection of women who meet and share their stories with one another, pray together, ask questions, share hurts, share happinesses … and cling to His Word to find that there is still hope after the death of their precious sons and daughters.

Hope Groups are a nine week, Bible study and small group. Some meet online through Facebook and some meet in person. Each group will establish a specific meeting time. Even if you can’t make it for that specific time each week, we encourage you to join a group. The topics will be posted online and dialogue will continue beyond the specified time and throughout the week.

Here is what other women who have gone through Hope Groups in the past have to say:

Monica K – Hope Mom to Daniel

I am indebted to Hope Mommies and especially to Hope Groups. Before attending Hope Groups last fall, I felt very alone and very lost. I was very angry at the world. My relationship with my husband, with my friends, and with God had all been severely shaken as a result of losing Daniel. No one was able to lend me the comfort or support I yearned for and I started spiraling downward very quickly. Well-meaning loved ones often said more hurtful than helpful things. I started questioning my purpose and doubting the strength of my marriage. Hope Groups rationalized and validated my feelings and helped me emerge from the tremendous world of doubt that I created for myself. They taught me to receive well-meaning yet hurtful comments with grace and to have faith in Him even though my loss was beyond my understanding. Hope Groups restored my faith in God and my faith in my marriage. I cherish the friendships I made through hope groups and will always hold a special place in my heart for my fellow Hope Mommies.

Ginny Hally – Hope Mom to Hayes

A year after our son went to be with Jesus, a friend of mine sent me a Hope Box. I had never heard of Hope Mommies before, so I wasn’t sure what I was opening. But when I looked into the box, I was immediately reminded about how good our God truly is and that our son was in a better place watching over us on our new journey. My Hope Mommies group has helped me find a place where I belong. Prior to becoming connected with Hope Mommies, I felt like an outcast in this world, alone in my grief and sadness as I watched friends and family members welcome their children into this world. Nobody knew the pain I was going through each day I was without my son. The world was moving on without me as I just went through the motions. But my Hope Mommies Hope Group has been a source of inspiration, both spiritually and emotionally. The women in my Hope Group motivate me to press on through their mental strength and unwavering faith as they walk their own journey. We will forever be Hope Mommies together.

Hope Group Coordinator Jennifer Parks – Hope Mom to Paige:

I am so honored every time I get to share my story with others and listen to them speak about their precious children who have gone before them.  It is an absolute privilege to hold their hand, to validate their pain, to hear their anger and confusion and to share humbly how I continually experience the love of a present, affectionate and marvelous God in the midst of my own sorrow.  My wish is that Hope Moms would feel bold and courageous as they sign up for a Hope Group this spring.  I want them to experience the refreshment of speaking their child’s name and sharing their child’s photos and stories in a place where they are met with loving sincerity and empathy.  I pray that these moms will find friendship and a place where they belong.  But most importantly, I pray they find restoration for their hearts and healing for their souls as they fully embrace their stories while running with arms wide open into the precious and grace filled, redemptive love of our Savior and Lord.

Registration for our Spring Hope Groups is now open!  Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with other women, share your story, and experience the hope of Christ!  Hope Groups will run from the week of March 28 through the week of May 23.
