Hope Group Testimony {Andi’s Experience}

Our fourth miscarriage happened while I was in my first Hope Group with Hope Mommies—a group my husband signed me up for. This group of ladies loved on me and prayed over me. Many tears were shared, and I had found a community that understood me. They understood my hurt and frustration. They understood what this process has both given to me and robbed from me.

Loss can put you in a very lonely and isolating place. My Hope Group helped fill my heart with love and healing. It was a place that I could be heard. Even at times when it was challenging to put my thoughts and feelings into words, they got it! I recommend joining a group, it is a very therapeutic process to share your story and listen and help others in theirs. God never promised this journey would be easy, but He gives us community so we don’t have to do it alone.

It had become a safe haven and resting place for our souls.
So many truths were discovered in that living room filled with love.

I was so encouraged by the strength and bravery of these women. It’s interesting how God put a group of people together that have totally different backgrounds and careers, and yet we fit so well with one another. None of us wanted this group to end. It had become a safe haven and resting place for our souls. So many truths were discovered in that living room filled with love. I learned that God has a purpose for me and my four babies, and that someday we will all be reunited because of Christ’s work on the cross. I’m learning to trust God even in the midst of heartache, because He’s still there, and that it’s okay to not always be “okay.”

Our group of five still keep in close contact. We all have each others numbers and home addresses, we’ve even coordinated a few things outside of Hope Group together. I was encouraged by one of the ladies to go to my fist Hope Mommies Dinner this past week. We went together, and I’m really glad we did.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you will have peace. In this world you will have troubles but take courage I have overcome the wold.”
John 16:33
