Chapter Spotlight: West Texas

What's happening in West Texas: The West Texas chapter was formed in May, 2016 to help support the mission of Hope Mommies by sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and creating local support to moms and families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Our chapter has experienced a lot of change in the past year as we continued to grow daily in the number of families we support. This growth was beginning to take a toll on our leadership and volunteer team, which caused us to look at how we could better serve our area with our time and resources.  Prior to October, 2019, we provided this support in the larger communities of Midland, Odessa, ...

Chapter Spotlight: Albuquerque Chapter

What's happening in Albuquerque: It has been such a blessing for our team to continue supporting moms and families here in our Albuquerque community, and our chapter of Hope Mommies had a wonderful year of growth, connection, and service in 2019! Throughout the year, we held monthly coffee nights in which moms in our area got to meet one another, share stories, and pray together. We hosted in-person Hope Groups for a summer mini-series, and we dove into the Identity study in the fall.  We also hosted Hope Box gatherings to help supply hospitals, give through churches, and respond to individual requests. In all, we provided more than ...

Chapter Spotlight: Brenham-College Station Chapter

What's happening in Brenham-College Station: In 2014, our son, Caleb Jene, arrived prematurely and 13 hours later went to be with Jesus. My family had also lost my father unexpectedly just 15 weeks earlier. Out of season of immense loss, I desperately sought purpose in the pain. I clung to Jesus as I attempted to navigate each day, and felt God very clearly tell me over and over that my healing would come through serving.    In the months following our loss, I learned about Hope Mommies. The thing that intrigued me the most were the Hope Boxes. I left The Woman’s Hospital of Texas months earlier with a box that was sweet and so ...

Chapter Spotlight: Northern Indiana Chapter

What's happening in Northern Indiana: The Northern Indiana Hope Mommies Chapter has had an exciting year of growth and change. We added several new individuals to our leadership team and began reaching women in a new city, Fort Wayne, which is the second largest city in Indiana. New territory allowed us to provide Hope Boxes to four new hospitals: Parkview Regional Medical Center, Parkview Randallia, Dekalb Health, and Dupont Hospital. We distributed a total of 250 Hope Boxes this year. We also began offering a monthly gathering in Fort Wayne, in addition to our Goshen group.  This year, we continued our annual tradition of hosting a ...

Local Chaper Spotlight: Houston Chapter

What's happening in Houston: In July of 2017, my husband and I welcomed our son, William, into the world and ushered him into heaven at the same moment. A couple of weeks later, I was gifted a Hope Box and an invitation into the Hope Mommies Community. I was so thankful a group of women existed that could understand and give me language for the astounding direction life had taken. That fall, I joined an online Hope Group through which I was given incredible support and encouragement. I knew my journey through grief would not have been the same without this special group of women who understood my pain like no one else in my life. Halfway ...

Local Chapter Spotlight: Dallas Chapter

What's happening in Dallas: I became a Hope Mom in 2016 when my son Angel was stillborn at 20 weeks. I received a Hope Box in the hospital and got involved with the Dallas Chapter almost immediately. I have had many opportunities to serve within the Dallas Chapter, serving as the Dinner Host in Richardson for two years, starting our Care Team, organizing our 2017 Balloon Release, assisting with our 2018 5k, and planning our first "Night of Hope," a fundraising dinner and silent auction. I began interning with Jenny Williams, Dallas' second Chapter President in the summer of 2018, and on March 1st of 2019 I took over as the third Dallas ...

Local Chapter Spotlight: Central Texas

What's happening in Central Texas: The Central Texas Chapter of Hope Mommies was established in the fall of 2016 and is currently serving the areas of Temple/Belton, Waco, and Austin. It all started with a desire that a dear friend and I had to place Hope Boxes at the hospital where we both had delivered our stillborn sons. As we went through the process of hosting our first box gathering, Hope Mommies started advertising the creation of chapters to provide local, in-person support to Hope Moms. The Lord truly placed the desire on my heart to bring this ministry to central Texas and share the hope of Christ with hurting mothers. When I lost my ...

Local Chapter Update: Northern Indiana

What's happening in Northern Indiana: The Northern Indiana Chapter of Hope Mommies was established in September 2016. Prior to this, approximately 50 Hope Boxes had been distributed in Elkhart & Saint Joseph counties to women who had experienced stillbirth, miscarriage or infant loss, mainly by word of mouth over an 18 month period. Since then we have been able to stock multiple hospitals, birth centers, OBGYN offices, and other women’s organizations, as well as continuing to mail and hand deliver boxes. This year we anticipate 200 boxes will be assembled and donated by the Northern Indiana Chapter. The increasing demand for Hope Boxes is ...

Local Chapter Spotlight: Dallas

What's happening in Dallas: In 2017, Jenny Williams stepped into the role as the second Chapter President in the Dallas Chapter. With God's blessings, and through the outreach started with the Dallas Chapter in 2015, the chapter has grown to over 575 members. 2017 also saw the start of our public Facebook page which enables us to keep our friends and families involved in what we are doing and ways they can support the chapter. This year, we have assembled 750 Hope Boxes, and over the last years have grown to supplying 30 hospitals, clinics, doctor's offices, and crisis pregnancy centers. Our need continues to grow exponentially, but we are ...

Local Chapter Spotlight: West Texas

What's happening in West Texas: The West Texas chapter was formed in May 2016 to help support the mission of Hope Mommies by sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and creating a network of local support to help with the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of a grieving family. We provide this support in the larger communities of Midland/Odessa, Lubbock, San Angelo, and Abilene, as well as the smaller communities within 50-100 miles of these major cities. Sadly, our chapter has grown so much in the three years it has existed! What began with a small group of five volunteers and a few moms meeting once a month has now become a thriving chapter with 12 ...
