Local Chapter Spotlight: Dallas Chapter

What’s happening in Dallas:

I became a Hope Mom in 2016 when my son Angel was stillborn at 20 weeks. I received a Hope Box in the hospital and got involved with the Dallas Chapter almost immediately. I have had many opportunities to serve within the Dallas Chapter, serving as the Dinner Host in Richardson for two years, starting our Care Team, organizing our 2017 Balloon Release, assisting with our 2018 5k, and planning our first “Night of Hope,” a fundraising dinner and silent auction. I began interning with Jenny Williams, Dallas’ second Chapter President in the summer of 2018, and on March 1st of 2019 I took over as the third Dallas chapter President.

Our Dallas Texas Chapter of Hope Mommies was established in 2014 serving Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas. We supply Hope Boxes to over 40 hospitals, clinics and doctor’s office across the DFW metroplex.  We also offer Hope Boxes to moms inside our chapter at no cost to them.  We have made 750 boxes so far this year.  The Dallas Chapter has nine monthly dinner locations.  We are continually striving to bring hope to moms in need by offering them the chance to join us in community and Hope.

In our five years as a chapter, we have hosted, 3 5K’s; a balloon release; and 3 Christmas memorials.  We host monthly dinners each month at an average of 4 locations every month.  This year we hosted our first fundraising dinner and silent auction.  Each quarter, we also have a Hope Box Gathering to assemble Hope Boxes for our Chapter.  Our Chapter also host in person Hope Groups in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Hope Mom Testimonies:

“Within a few weeks of losing our sweet Tenley, two Hope Mommies, reached out to me. I was broken, devastated, confused, and lost. Not only did they both make sure to cover me in love, they made sure I knew I wasn’t alone. I’ve attended several dinners and have made new friends, who I know will be friends for a life time! I love all of my fellow Hope Mommies!”

Hope Mom to Tenley

This amazing organization has supported me and given me a group of friends to walk this journey with me. I appreciate our monthly dinners and how we pay it forward through our box gatherings to continue to provide Hope Boxes to other bereaved moms.”

“Hope Mommies Dallas Chapter has been a game changer in my grief. After I lost my daughter, I felt like no one would understand what I was going through. I felt all alone in my sadness and loss. I found out about Hope Mommies from a Hope Box given to me by my nurse during labor. I was connected to so many other mamas who are learning to live without their babies here with them. I have found true friends in this community of women and I’m so thankful for this group.”

Pray for Dallas:
  • For God to continue to provide as we work to raise funds for our chapter as it grows
  • For God to provide volunteers with a heart for Hope Mommies and a heart for Him.
  • That we will continue to be a light that points hurting moms and families to Jesus in the midst of their heartache.

Hope Mommies Chapters assist in our mission to share the Hope of Christ with bereaved mothers and families experiencing infant loss by serving their local communities through providing on-the-ground support in their geographical area.

Is there still a group that meets in the Dallas area, preferably garland richardson area? My daughter ❤️ lost her son at birth a year ago & still isn’t handling it well at all.

Got something to say?
