Katie Kresge grew up in the church as a pastor’s kid, an upbringing that shaped her deep love for faith and community. She studied theology at Howard Payne University and worship leadership at Dallas Baptist University, further grounding her passion for Scripture and ministry. For the past nine years, Katie and her husband, Matt, have called Cedar Park home, raising their three children—Jude (10), Jo (7), and Jane (3)—while also serving together on staff at Christ Church. Leading worship and walking alongside families in gospel community are among Katie’s greatest joys in ministry. Her perfect day would involve street tacos with her family, a good iced coffee and a book in hand, and the thrill of cracking an escape room puzzle with Matt.

Katie recently released a song she wrote in honor of her nephew.

She wrote it for her sister and her husband to commemorate the due date of their Hope Baby Boy and give them something to sing as they grieved that specific day.
