Keep Looking UP!
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is tomorrow, and I hope you’ll join us for the Wave of Light. The link will be sent out via email and shared on our website and social media.
So many of you purchased candles and t-shirts (THANK YOU!), and I can’t wait to see your photos on social media. Be sure to tag @hopemommies in your posts on Instagram and Facebook. We love seeing this beautiful community come together around such a meaningful day.
I pray tomorrow will be gentle on your heart. A sacred pause when the watching world stops and remembers with us. I pray you feel seen and loved by those around you, by all of us at Hope Mommies, but most of all, that you feel seen and loved by the Lord.
As we think of our babies, let’s remember Psalm 139, which shows us that the Creator of heaven and earth was also the active Creator of our precious children. No matter how many days they lived, whether within or outside the womb, our Hope Babies developed and grew under His attentive eye and careful hand. His craftsmanship formed all their inward parts, knit each of them together, and shaped their tiny frames.
If you had a positive pregnancy test, only to lose your sweet one before anyone knew,
they were fearfully and wonderfully made.
If you only saw your baby in an ultrasound before miscarrying,
they were fearfully and wonderfully made.
If you felt your baby kick within you, but delivered them silently and without a heartbeat,
they were fearfully and wonderfully made.
If you watched your baby fight for life in the NICU, only to ultimately face decisions no parent should ever have to make,
they were fearfully and wonderfully made.
If you held your baby in your arms as they took their last breath,
they were fearfully and wonderfully made.
Our Hope Babies have purpose and dignity because they are image bearers. The loss of a life is always worth grieving. We didn’t just suffer the loss of a dream or an imagined future. We suffered the loss of a child, worthy of love and worthy of being mourned.
To help you walk through this sacred day, I created a special devotional just for you. My prayer is that it helps you still your heart before the Lord, remember your baby with joy, and rest in the nearness of His presence. You can download it for free here.
I love you, Hope Mom. Keep looking UP!

If you were to knock on her front door today, you’d find her in something comfortable drinking a hot cup of tea, while trying to figure out how to balance all the things that make up a life. She enjoys spending time in God’s word, fresh flowers, board games with her kids, cooking, and evening walks in her neighborhood. She adores being a new creation in Christ and prays she reflects Him well on this earth.
