The theme of our retreat this year is Stand Firm. Based out of Ephesians 6:10–18 we will explore the mystery and reality of the armor of God.

We we be at Camp Tejas in Giddings, Texas in the Meadows side of the camp.  You can learn more about Camp Tejas by visiting their website https://camptejas.org/retreats.

Our retreat will be using the Four Seasons and Barn 2:14 Rooms  for our accommodations at Camp Tejas on the Meadows side of the camp. Each room is equipped with twin bunk beds. Every Hope Mom will have her own twin size bed with bedding, a pillow and towels (a bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth).

The weekend is a blend of speaking sessions with worship music and Biblical teaching, small groups, alone/journaling time, a balloon release, and a special Hope Box Ministry activity.

Registration (Nov. 1- Jan. 31) Cost = $340

There is a scholarship application and process, which includes references and submitting your family’s W-2.  Approved scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis until there are no more scholarships remaining. Scholarship Application  

Because we’re counting on your registration to cover predetermined costs, 50% of your registration fee can be reimbursed if cancelled by January 1, 2023.

Yes! If you already know someone who you would like to room with, there is a spot on the registration form where you can enter their name. BOTH parties will need to request each other though, in order to secure rooming together. (You can list up to three names that you would like to request as roommates. Requests are not guarantees, but we do try to accommodate as much as possible.)

One of the best aspects of the weekend is the relationships you will make. The time you’ll have with your roommates will be precious, and if you’re new to Hope Mommies then we prayerfully place you in a room with other moms who may have a similar story to your own. Arrival is at 2:00pm on Friday. Departure is at 11:00am on Sunday.

This is for ALL Hope Moms, regardless of where they are in the grieving process. Our hope is that the weekend will be a blended community of women in various stages: whether just experiencing infant loss, a year or two out, trying to conceive, or expecting a new blessing you are welcome.

Hope Mommies was founded on the belief that the only reason we have hope following infant loss is because Christ died for our sins, was resurrected, and gives eternal life in Heaven to those who repent and believe in Him. While we believe this is the only truth and Christ is the only reason we will see our babies again, we understand that many people do not know this. This retreat is centered around a biblical theme, and we will engage in worship, prayer, and spiritual discussion. We will not be forceful with what we believe, but we do hope to talk with you about your experiences and worldview.

Think rustic! We will be in a beautiful country setting and you will be walking some back and forth from cabin to meeting/dining space. We want you to be comfortable. Texas in March and October could be anywhere from 50-90 degrees. We will keep you updated on the weather as the weekend draws closer!

The closest airport to Camp Tejas is Austin Bergstrom in Austin, TX. It is an hour from the camp.

Everyone is responsible for getting themselves to the retreat. However, a private Facebook group is formed for Hope Moms coming to the retreat. In this group hope moms often connect beforehand to meet and carpool together either from a city or from the airport.
