  • Lies in Grief: God Failed Me

If you've ever found the days leading up to your b If you've ever found the days leading up to your baby's birthday, due date, or anniversary harder than the day itself...

You're not alone.

For many grieving moms, the anticipation carries its own weight. The memories become louder. The ache feels closer. And the countdown can be exhausting.

In this month's Ministry Spotlight, Jennie shares how recognizing this pattern in her own grief—and hearing the same experience from countless Hope Moms—inspired the creation of the One Year Closer Box.

Designed as a gentle Advent for grieving mothers, each day offers Scripture, encouragement, and a reminder that someone remembers your baby and is walking with you.

Because your baby matters.
Your grief matters.
And you were never meant to carry this season alone.

One year closer to Jesus. One year closer to your baby. One year closer to the day when every sad thing comes untrue.

Hope Mom, What if your slower pace isn't somethin Hope Mom,

What if your slower pace isn't something to fight…

What if it's something to receive?

Grief changes us for a season. It affects our minds, our bodies, our emotions, and our hearts. If getting through today feels like enough, then today, enough is enough.

God isn't asking you to keep up with everyone else.

He's asking you to let Him carry you.

There is no prize for pretending you're okay. There is grace for resting. There is kindness in slowing down. And there is a faithful God who promises to meet you here.

🤍 If your pace is slower right now, let it be slower. His love has never depended on how quickly you heal.

Have you ever been so overwhelmed by grief that yo Have you ever been so overwhelmed by grief that you couldn't find the words to pray?

The Bible makes room for that.

In this episode of the Hope Mommies Podcast, we talk about praying the Lament Psalms—and why Psalm 88 is such a gift to grieving hearts. Unlike many psalms that end with hope, Psalm 88 closes in darkness. And yet, God included it in Scripture.

Why?

Because even faithful believers can experience seasons where God feels distant and hope feels hard to find.

If that's where you are today, take heart. You're not the first to walk through the darkness, and you won't walk through it alone. There is hope because others have gone before us, and the God who met them in their sorrow is the same God who walks with us today.
