Unfortunately scholarships are not available for this retreat.
You will be able to access the Virtual Retreat Experience and all its content if you have wi-fi and a smart device (laptop/tablet/smartphone). Having a camera on your smart device is helpful for live sessions and small group meetings. We would also recommend your bible, a journal, and a pen, as you will definitely want to take notes during the sessions. There will also be reflective time with journal prompts and discussion questions to help you process your own grief journey and all that you are learning.
Virtually, through a digital platform. Once registration closes (June 15), all details will be emailed to you including links and how to access them a few weeks prior to our start date.
Some portions of the event will be live, and others will be pre-recorded.
The main event is happening over the two days, so any of the interactive portions of the day are only able to be accessed on Friday and Saturday. However, you will have access to go back and watch the main sessions and replays at your convenience.
Yes! We want that for you! Just because this is online and we are physically separated, doesn’t mean we have to be isolated. You will get so much more out of this retreat if you do it alongside others! So, invite a friend! And if you don’t know anyone else who is a Hope Mom, don’t worry! You will create your own profile on our event platform. There you will be able to share your story and read other attendee stories, send messages, and connect with other Hope Moms. If you chose to attend an in-person location, you will be able to connect with other hope moms and participate in live small groups.
Yes! Women are encouraged to get together with other Hope Moms to help create a retreat experience. We know these times we are living in are unprecedented, but as long as you follow CDC guidelines, we think retreating with a friend (or two, or three) could be a really beautiful (and wonderful) thing.
This part can feel hard at first, but it doesn’t have to be! Create a space in your home where you can totally focus on the sessions and the day. Make sure you are comfortable – that can be in your bed, on the couch, or in a favorite chair! Splurge a little on a bouquet of flowers at your local market. Light some candles or get your essential oil diffuser going. Set up your Hope Baby’s photo and special items nearby where you will be retreating. Make some snacks and get your favorite beverage. Share a photo of you and your space on your own Social Media pages with the hashtags #IAmAHopeMom #HMVirtualRetreat. We would love to see how you are retreating!
We encourage you to carve time out of your schedule for this event. Grief can be so heavy to carry and can often leave us feeling empty and depleted. We want to help fill your cup. If you are working outside the home, maybe you could ask for the day off or to trade shifts with a co-worker? If you are a stay-at-home mom, maybe you ask your husband (or other trusted caregiver) to take your little ones for a few hours? As much as we want this for you – you are the only one who can make your attendance happen.
Hope Mommies was founded on the belief that the only reason we have hope following infant loss is because Christ died for our sins, was resurrected, and gives eternal life in Heaven to those who repent and believe in Him. You can read more about our doctrine at www.hopemommies.org/what-we-believe.
While we believe this is the only truth and Christ is the only reason we will see our babies again, we understand that many people do not know this. This retreat is centered around a biblical theme, and we will engage in worship, prayer, and spiritual discussion. We will not be forceful with what we believe, but we do hope to talk with you about your experiences and worldview.
Registration is open from April 12 – June 15, 2021. Click here to be taken to the registration page.
