Hello, Dear Mamas!  My name is Kimberly Powell!  My husband, Logan, and I just celebrated our sixth anniversary.  We live on a farm outside Waco, Texas, where we raise a little bit of everything, but our main focus is on goats and cattle.  We’ve got amazing girls:  Chloe is eleven and loves all things crafty; while Oakley, our Rainbow Blessing, is four and my sidekick on all farm related activities!

Shortly after my husband and I were married in 2012, I suffered a miscarriage.  I was 34, and it was my first pregnancy.  I had waited so long to become a mom, and was absolutely devastated when we learned our baby no longer had a heartbeat.  I then had complications from surgery.  For a long time, I just felt lost and blamed myself.

Though my loss was five years ago, I only found Hope Mommies last January.  I wish I had known about this ministry when we were going through that difficult chapter.  It has been such a blessing to me and my family.  I have often asked God to help me spread awareness and support to other grieving mamas as a way to honor our baby, Caleb – so I know that having the privilege to help with this Bible study, is Him leading me!  1 Thessalonians 4:13 tells us:  God is our hope beyond sorrow.  I pray as we go through His Word, you will find comfort and shelter in Christ’s foundation.
