12 Days of Christmas {Retreat Testimony}
Below is a testimony from someone who attended the Hope Mommies 2015 Weekend Retreat:
“I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the retreat. I was really nervous about coming, my husband actually signed me up.
Once I got there, everything was so lovely and everyone was so nice. Seeing Kamryn’s name everywhere, and hearing people say aloud- it felt like I could breathe again. Like I didn’t have to hold her inside for only me. I honestly didn’t realize how much my heart was burning to share her, until this weekend. Kamryn was acknowledged, remembered, and loved so much, by people I had never met. Now- so many of them I consider to be really good friends. What a difference this weekend made. It felt amazing to be Kamryn’s mama, too.
I am grateful for this weekend. I felt brave, where before, all I felt was fear and uncertainty. And for the first time since losing Kamryn, 7 months ago, I truly felt Jesus. Thank you for being his hands and feet and loving on me all weekend. What a gift you have given to me.”-Kara K, Hope Mom to Kamryn Belle

My name is Amy and I started my shop when I became a stay at home mom after my daughter Savannah was born in November 2014. I wanted to use the extra time that I had at home to start working on all of those projects I thought about doing for years!! I have always had a creative side and took an interest specifically in Home Decor. Thanks to Pinterest, my list of DIY projects was pretty long but I just started working on different things here and there and after getting some good feedback from friends and family, I decided to take my love of arts and crafts to the next level and start selling! I am happy to be able to do what I love now and bless others in the process.

The Christmas story reminds me that – just like Jesus’ birth after all those years of waiting – God always brings a “Christmas” after a long season of winter, in whatever form that may be in our lives after loss. My faith struggles in times of deep pain but it’s comforting to remember this truth. Our God is all about bringing beauty from ashes, turning sorrow into joy.
