12 Days of Christmas {Retreat Testimony}

Hope Mommies is excited to offer you 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways this holiday season!
Our final giveaway, which will run on December 12, will be a full scholarship to the Hope Mommies 2016 Weekend Retreat.  We truly believe that this weekend can be an incredible catalyst for healing and renewed hope as you navigate the heartbreaking sorrow of losing a child.  The retreat is February 5-7  2016 in Giddings, Texas.  Registration for the retreat is $315. Check out this link for answers to any questions you may have concerning this retreat.

Below is a testimony from someone who attended the Hope Mommies 2015 Weekend Retreat:

Pillow“I was hesitant about going to the retreat, since it had only been 1 month since my son had gone to be with Jesus. I wasn’t exactly sure where I was in my journey of grief but I decided to take the leap of faith. The retreat was such a safe place. These ladies understood my pain, and they knew how to ask the dreaded “How many kids do you have?” question that haunted me. I felt like being at the retreat was safer than going to the grocery store!  From the moment I walked in until the last day I felt like I belonged. We all joked that we were members of a “sucky sorority.” One that no one wants to be a part of and the hazing is awful! But the closeness and friendships you experience in just 2 days is unable to be explained. I would (and have!) recommend the retreat to anyone dealing with infant loss.”

    I am so looking forward to the retreat! I want to absorb and learn as much wisdom and hope as I can from other mamas who have walked this road so that I may be encouraged to go back to my hometown and be able to encourage others and share the good news! Even through this trial.. Yes- there is still good news and we do have hope!

    I’m not sure I’ll get to attend the retreat due to work. It sounds like a wonderful event though and an inspiring thing for those who attend.

    I’ve wrestled with the decision to attend the retreat since I first learned of it. It sounds like an incredibly healing and uplifting journey. However, the first day of the retreat is on what would have been my due date and I just don’t know that I can handle it. Maybe I’ll be strong enough next time. 😊

    I was really looking forward to attending the retreat this year, but we just found out we are moving so hopefully I can come next year. I always look forward to the worship, friendship, and truth from God’s word 🙂
