Did you know that 2021 marked ten years in nonprofit ministry for Hope Mommies?
Over the past decade Hope Mommies has:
- Placed 19,895 Hope Boxes into the hands of grieving mothers.
- Discipled 1,781 women through Hope Groups.
- Encouraged, loved, and served a total of 902 women at our Retreats.
- And equipped our community with biblical wisdom, by publishing a total of 964 blog posts.
But more than all these numbers, we have seen real women’s lives changed through their deepening relationship with Jesus. Hope Mommies continues to look up and seek His face, while moving our hands and feet to reach grieving mothers. As we look ahead to 2022, we’re excited to see what God will invite us to do next, and as our ministry expands, so too, does our need for cherished friends like you who make all of these incredible results possible. Please join us in our efforts, we can’t do this alone!
We are asking you to help us raise funding to keep Hope Mommies serving more and more women and families. Our goal is to raise $25,000 during this season of giving and remembering. The hope we have because of Christ’s sacrifice is the heart of Hope Mommies, and we are grateful to share in this with a growing community. Our mission is to continue to reach grieving families who have said goodbye to their dearly loved children far sooner than expected—that they might know the anchor we have in Christ (Hebrews 6:19).
Giving Tuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. We are joining in on Giving Tuesday again this year to kick off our end of year giving season.

Redesigned Hope Box
Hope Boxes are the main point of contact with bereaved moms. They are a gift that invites them into community with us, and lets them know that, even in the brokenness, there is a God who sees and cares for them. In honor of our tenth anniversary, we have redesigned our Hope Box into a beautifully curated box of gifts and resources, which are custom, and identifiable, as a Hope Mommies gift. These new boxes contain: an ESV Bible, a Heaven Booklet (Randy Alcorn), Bright Hope (30-day grief devotional written by our founder, Erin Cushman), a custom journal, a bookmark, worship music, a handwritten note, and our brochure, along with various comfort and pampering gifts such as: tea, lotion, lip care, a wristband bracelet, a candle, and a custom mug.
Introducing the One Year Closer Box
Calendar milestones can be such tender days for hope moms. Remembering and acknowledging our hope baby’s special days can bring great encouragement and comfort, but the days leading up to our hope baby’s birthday, heaven day, or due date can be such a heavy battle. This is why we created the One Year Closer Box. We pray this box can be a small measure of encouragement to a grieving mother as she honors her baby’s special days on this earth; and that it serves as a reminder that, because of the hope of the gospel, she is One Year Closer. This special box comes with a candle and eight carefully curated advent cards to give encouragement on the days it’s needed most.
