Prayer Team

PrayerTeam
I am so excited to share with you the new way that the Prayer Team will be operating!
Recently, the Leadership Team got together in a cozy lake house, somewhere in Texas to discuss the 2015 year. I begged God for direction, help, insight, & ideas for the Prayer Team & walked about with quite the resolution!
So, here is how the “new” Prayer Team will work:
1.) You read & agree to our doctrinal statement HERE
2.) You will be added to our private Facebook group called “Hope Mommies Prayer Team”.
From there…
3.) Information about new Hope Moms will be posted as they request prayer.
-This information may include their mailing address or email address. (Please note- such personal information is private & must not be shared.)
– Please refrain from “adding” them as a friend on social networks, unless a relationship is built through this ministry. We want to respect their privacy and not cross lines, which could potentially push them away from the encouragement we hope to offer.
4.) As new Hope Mom information is shared and you feel obliged to write a note of encouragement to them, please comment on the post letting the rest of the team know you will write them/email them.
– If you end up not being able to do this know that is truly okay!  Just let the team know so that somebody else can.
– Your personal notes or emails can be as short and sweet as sharing a verse and saying, “You are loved and being prayed for.” Through this group I will share ideas for this, and you are welcome to also share your ideas! We are a team in this.
To share with you, quite honestly, I simply cannot do this alone and am in need of your help! I am in need of more hands joining together, more knees bended, more hearts crying out to Jesus in sync with my own.
Minute by minute, new Hope Moms are made. A mother will go in for a routine sonogram to hear the silence of a little heart no longer beating. A mother will go into labor only to find out that her baby will enter the world silently, as they have already entered the arms of Jesus. Moms, all over your city and mine, are walking past a nursery that never got flooded with baby coos, cries, and lullabies.
Today. Right now. This is happening.
This nightmare of words jumbled together is reality for so many, and my jumbled words do no justice to the weight of it.
Chances are you have walked closely next to or prayed earnestly for a dear sister who has walked down the unimaginable path of mourning the death of their child.
Or, maybe you stood on the sidelines, feeling helpless and awkward, so you didn’t act at all– not because you didn’t care but because you truly didn’t know how, fearing that your words wouldn’t be adequate.  You don’t have to have the right words or the perfect little gift, and you certainly don’t have to be silent.
So, please…. please do not underestimate the power of your prayers and sharing with the family that you are, indeed, petitioning passionately for peace to overwhelm their heartache.
Prayer is powerful. It is a really big deal to advocate for a fellow sister to the Creator of the Universe. He listens. He responds. He cares deeply & is moved by our pleas.
“Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath.” Psalm 116:2
Do not underestimate the love of our God and that the Holy Spirit moves within us!
In short, I would love to have you on our Prayer Team this year – to stand in the trenches, asking God to rain down his peace on precious families trying to make sense of the darkness this world has – and hope that this is an avenue for you to both share and experience Jesus.
