12 Days of Christmas {Giveaway}

Hope Mommies is excited to offer you 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways this holiday season!

As a Hope Mom or Dad, the holidays always seems to be one of the hardest seasons of loss to walk through. Your baby’s absence is so obvious and substantial.  It is difficult to enjoy the merriment and festivities of the holidays when your heart aches from missing your child and you are constantly reminded of the absence of someone so dear to you.  It is also challenging to know how best to honor and remember your baby in the midst of the holiday season.

SpoonWe also recognize that many of us are surrounded by friends and family who long to show us love and encouragement as we walk through the sorrow of losing a precious child, but often they are at a loss as to how to come alongside a grieving parent in a meaningful and supportive way.  Perhaps you are a sister or friend to a grieving mother.  You desire to honor and remember their baby, but you aren’t sure where to start.  The items in these giveaways would make a great gift to the grieving mom you know — a way to let them know you have not forgotten the sorrow they are walking through.

Whether you are grieving the loss of a child or know someone who is, we hope these giveaways will be a source of extra encouragement as we seek to remember the lives of these precious babies who have gone home ahead of us.  Each giveaway will last for ONE DAY only, so be sure to check back every day to see who has won each day’s giveaway.

il_570xN.764517661_i0s6Our final giveaway, which will run on December 12, will be a full scholarship to the Hope Mommies 2016 Weekend Retreat.  We truly believe that this weekend can be an incredible catalyst for healing and renewed hope as you navigate the heartbreaking sorrow of losing a child.  The retreat is February 5-7  2016 in Giddings, Texas.  Registration for the retreat is $315. Check out this link for answers to any questions you may have concerning this retreat.

 Scattered throughout these giveaways, you will find posts from other Hope Moms with testimonies of their past retreat experiences, stories of how they have chosen to honor their babies during the holidays, and encouragement for the days ahead.  I pray that your hearts are truly blessed by their words as we continue together to long for the day when we will see Christ face to face and be reunited with our precious ones for all eternity.

Today, we are excited to partner with Courtney from The Local Kingdom and  Tanya from SilverSpoonful for Day 1 of our Christmas Giveaways.  Courtney graciously donated one of her “Hope” mugs, and Tanya has donated a “Hope Anchors the Soul” hand-stamped vintage spoon (both pictured above in this post) to our readers.  One winner will be chosen at midnight tonight to receive these beautiful products!

    Missing our three angel babies this holiday season, but were praising God for the sweet girl we have in our arms. We are going to use special ornaments to honor our three sweet angels this Christmas. Praying for our hearts, as well as those who feel the pain my family feels. Praying for peace and love for all this Christmas season.

    We are planning to donate in my son Tristan’s name. Not yet sure if it’ll be toys to a local hospital or something specifically related to stillbirth. But I need to honor him in some way.

    I hang up ornaments for all of my hope babies. The ornaments are angels holding babies. I love the imagery.

    I love to honor our daughter Sophia through the holidays by sponsoring a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child for a little girl her age…as well as hanging several special ornaments for her on our tree.

    Wishing I still had my 3 angel babies this holiday. I ordered an ornament that I can add birthstone pearls for each month of their “birth”. Praying for God to bless us with a living child soon.

    This is going to be the 1st year we have put up a tree since losing our three angels over the last two years. I pray for the strength to be able to follow through.

    Two years ago on December 2nd we lost what would have been our 5th child after a month long roller coaster, we lost our 6th child in April the following year and our due date would have been mid December. I’m grieving what might have been a good bit this year especially as I watch my 4 year old play by himself. We don’t even have our big tree up this year so I can’t put out my special ornaments. I’m really not sure how we’re going to honor our sweet ones in heaven other than just survive and keep our family focused on Christ and the love He has for us.

    I ordered ornaments for both of my heaven babies. I will also be going home for Christmas and will get to visit my little girl’s grave for the first time. I hope to put some Christmas decorations on her grave and maybe read or sing to her.

    I made a baby ornament for each of my boys and they are both hung on our tree. This is our first Christmas without our newest son so we are still thinking of ways to honor him this Christmas.

    I didn’t think I would be able to decorate for the holidays because everything I planned to do revolved around our baby girl. But the more I thought about it I couldn’t allow my self not to do something for her. I’m actually a little bit excited to see the end result I know she will love it.

    We always buy Levi what would be an age appropriate gift had he lived – 6 years this year – and donate it to a child in need. We also buy a new ornament for him each year.

    I’ve never lost a baby but my grandmothers sister has. A long long time ago she had a baby and she had been a stillborn one morning. 🙁 I am winning this for her.
